Cultural Sisters worked on a lighting and lantern project to involve the whole community in a celebratory activity focused around Hanford Park. Workshops were undertaken with Priory Primary School, Trentham High School and Jigsaw Community Project. Workshops involved construction techniques in willow to make basic pyramid and large-scale sculptural lanterns. The participants covered and decorated their frameworks with tissue and prepared them for safe light fittings. During the open-days, participants were encouraged to develop more intricate designs with the larger lanterns.
