Cultural Sisters worked with local schools - The Grange & Weston Coyney Primary, Longton High and Sandon High - the Community Network Group and local agencies, to hold a pre-Christmas celebration that brought the various communities together. A lantern procession was organised to mark the placing of a huge Christmas tree at the most visible point in the area, a roundabout. The event culminated in the switching on of the Christmas tree lights and carol singing.
